Far away from the fast pace of life, ADLER Spa Resort Thermae is a sanctuary set among the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia in Tuscany, Italy. Its tranquil location boasts views of the Tuscan countryside with cypress lining the horizon and endless views of green valleys and vineyards.
ADLER is the epitome of comfort, making you feel as if you are at home from the beginning to the end of your stay. You can even wear your robe and slippers anywhere in the resort. With 89 beautiful rooms, a spectacular restaurant and world-class spa and fitness centre, I couldn’t think of anywhere better to spend the first few days of married life.
The Spa
From thermal pools to saunas, massages and full body scrubs to bathing in wine, ADLER Thermae has your post-wedding relaxation covered. ADLER’s spa truly is an oasis – a place to relax and enjoy ‘La dolce Vita’. Every detail of the spa has been thoughtfully considered to create a tranquil atmosphere for you to completely unwind and refresh.
The spa consists of a perfect 37° C thermal pool drawing natural mineral water from underground, a sport pool, 5 saunas of various types, saltwater grotto, Turkish bath, Kneipp ice fountain and relaxation areas complete with fireplaces, waterbeds and hanging chairs for two.
When staying at ADLER, I had the pleasure of experiencing their spa treatments first hand. My husband and I were amazed by the Adler Luxury Aetos Ritual for couples, which included a purifying peel followed by a relaxing grape-seed oil massage, a regenerating bath in Aetos wine and thermal waters, concluding with time to relax on a water bed for two with a glass of sparkling Aetos Rosé in our hands and a taste of Pecorino cheese, matured in Aetos. This experience was relaxing beyond compare.
Health
At ADLER, there is a specific focus on your health and wellbeing. Walking through the hallways of the Resort, you will find complementary herbal teas to detox and relax. The ADLER FIT indoor and outdoor areas are a spectacular place to work out or join daily yoga, pilates and aqua classes. There are also daily outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and Nordic walk routes for you and your partner to enjoy together.
Gourmet culinary experience
Eating at ADLER Thermae is a gourmet culinary experience that delights the senses. There is something incredible about the Mediterranean cuisine served in the open-air restaurant “Sotto le Stelle”. For breakfast, you can enjoy the warmth of sunlight as you sit by the indoor olive tree and savour a sweet and savoury buffet with the best quality pastries, fruit and meats from the local region. After the sun goes down, you and your partner can look forward to a romantic dinner under the stars with an à-la-carte menu of 4-5 courses made from local, Tuscan produce. Eating and drinking at ADLER truly is a memorable experience.
