TOP #5 Things you need to know in order to make 2018 your best year yet!

Hey Lovely,

Life is way too short to not be taken seriously and made the most of!

After running 2 business’, raising 2 kids, looking after a busy household and being a wife I wanted to share my TOP #5 biggest tips for you to have the best year yet!!

So brace yourself because here they are:

#1. TIME IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET

No matter what you do every single day, time is the one element of your life that you will never get back and you should value it more than anything.

TIP: I’m big on outsourcing as much as I can especially if it is a task that will consume too much of my time and make me stressed.

MY TRUTHThis year running a business and cooking for my family at the end of a long day seemed like the end of the world so we started getting Youfoodz and honestly it has saved my life!! What can you outsource in order to make your life easier?

#2. YOU ARE YOUR ONLY BARRIER TO GETTING EVERYTHING YOU WANT

Do you ever stop and realise how many times a day you say “I should have..” instead of “I will” or “I am doing this”. We constantly spend our lives telling ourselves negative things. Even if they don’t sound negative it could be something like “I don’t have time to go to the gym” when everyone does. You can wake up at 4.30am and go, but it’s always the same old excuses. “I can’t afford XYZ”, when if you just put your mind to it your options are limitless. Have you ever wanted something so badly that you put everything off to get it?

MY TRUTHWhen I was 18 I wanted a car more than anything in the world and as a poor uni student I decided to defer university for 6 months and save every penny I had so at the end I could buy this tiny second hand Toyota Echo for $10,000.00 because having a car at 18 meant more to me than anything- crazy right, but I made it happen because I valued it.

TIP: When you are planning your wedding or any event for that matter discuss what means the most to you. Is it having a big fancy wedding or eloping? Whatever you both want this is your one and only life so put a plan in place and make it happen.

#3 IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN YOU PLAN TO FAIL

You may have heard me say this before but it’s so true. When we work with any of our clients we ALWAYS have to discuss the outcome we want to achieve before anything else and work back from it in order to ensure that the desired outcome is going to be achieved. It might sound strange but the easiest way to get from A to B is knowing what you want to achieve.

TIP: When you are writing out your New Years resolutions make sure you write down what you want to achieve by the end of 2018 and work back from it by setting little goals along the way.

#4 IF YOU DON’T LIKE SOMETHING CHANGE IT

You are the creator of your life and destiny. Wherever you are right now is because of a million choices you have made and you need to take responsibility for that. There aren’t too many elements of chance which is great because it means that you have control. When something doesn’t go your way change it, make different choices and you will get a much better outcome.

MY TRUTH: When I had my kids it was hard. I really enjoyed running Foreva Events more than being a mum and I constantly told myself without realising it that “I’m not cut out to be a mum” and “I’m really not enjoying it”. After realising I had been telling myself this over and over again I quickly changed my thoughts to “I love being a mum and they are great kids” it was a massive shift and I can honestly tell you that it’s much easier than it was when I was telling myself negative things.

TIP: Be mindful and accountable for what you tell yourself because when you tell yourself something for long enough you will believe it’s true.

#5 BE GRATEFUL

You will never get more than what you already have if you don’t appreciate it and the old saying “you never know what you have until it’s gone” is so true.

TIP: If you want more in your life love what you have. Don’t ever get carried away with planning a big wedding if you start to lose the reasons you are marrying that person in the meantime.

MY TRUTH: My mornings are always crazy so I always say out loud the things I am grateful for when I drive my kids to daycare. Whether I am having a good or bad morning it really helps me get into a positive frame of mind for the rest of the day. I would always recommend making good habits a part of your day.

I hope these tips help inspire and drive you to making 2018 your best year yet!!
Always remember that you only live once and you definitely have so much more to give!

Warm regards,

Eva xx
