A romantic garden inspired wedding
Adam and Lauren’s love story was beautifully celebrated on their wedding day, and nothing was going to stop them from enjoying their day. Not even a little (or a lot) of rain! Although the original ceremony was planned for the stunning garden’s of Mt Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens, their wet weather back up venue, The Botanic Garden Cafe provided much needed shelter from the rain. With their family and friends around them, Adam and Lauren laughed their way through their big day, and soaked up (pun intended!) every moment with the people they love most.
The reception
Set at Hillstone St Lucia, Adam and Lauren’s recpetion was a romantic celebration of their love and life together. The reception began with drinks and canapes at the 100 Acre Bar, styled by furnitire from House of Harvey Co and pops of colour from Kate Dawes flower design. Moving inside, the guests enjoyed antipasto platters as they found their seats, and awaited the bridal party’s entrance. As each memebr of the bridal party entred the room and boogied accross the dance floor, sparkulars from Skylighter lit up the room. It was the small details that made this wedding different from others, with guests each recieving petite bottles of limoncello and almonds, custom coasters, custom water bottles, and the whiskey bar stocked with only the best – just to name a few.
The styling
Centred around Autumn Grove’s fig tree, the reception space was filled with carefully curated floral arrangements by Kate Dawes and her team, and both paper and acrylic stationery designs by Peony and Ink. With a colour palette of blush, maroon, navy blue, white and gold, the styling for this wedding echoed the inspiration of an italian garden wedding. To create the garden setting, Autumn Grove’s fig tree was placed in the centre of the room, creating a canopy of leaves and fairy lights above the guest’s tables. An enchanting garden was created at the base of the tree to further create the garden scene.
In front of the bridal table was a stunning white gloss dance floor by Staging Creations, with a custom gold decal from MXR Design Co. It was the perfect place to dance the night away to the sweet sounds of Franky Smart and her band.
A night to remember
After an abundance of cullinary delights from Hillstone’s chefs, guests moved outside for a moment that was particularly special. After Adam and Lauren cut the cake, the sky was filled with a custom fireworks display, a colourful and bright celebration of all that was ahead for the newly married couple.
